and Pam Whitehead have been collaborating with their clients since 2001. They have a stellar background with awards from the American Institute of Architecture and their work has been published in a variety of media. I had the pleasure of meeting the pair and the ease with which they speak together about their design approach was evidence to their success. Shortly after acquiring the lot on the corner of Mace and Redbud in South Davis, Pam and Paul joined the couple for a field trip to the site. Such was the beginning of their building experience.

At Sage, Pam and Paul engage their clients in the design process. They spend a lot of time defining what the needs are of their clients through questionnaires, conversation and visual imagery to develop a style framework. Using those concepts a physical study model is built so all parties can understand ideas, forms and spatial relationships of the site and structure. This schematic is a living tool that amends as necessary throughout the project.
